
Philosophy
As current leadership struggles to address the many pressing global issues of our time, the Foundation understands the increasing importance for humanity to give careful attention to one of its great untapped resources: its emerging leaders. The Foundation believes that emerging leaders can be nurtured to develop solutions to some of the most complex problems facing the world.
At this transitional moment in history, the SHIFT Foundation recognises that our emerging leaders have a unique opportunity to bring a new mind to bear on many of the critical global problems that perplex our current leadership. This new mind is characterised by the capacity to simultaneously embrace, embody and integrate multiple perspectives and worldviews. This shift in consciousness enables us to identify, access and cultivate potentials that are not currently being utilised and allows a deeper exploration of leadership, development and transformation at all levels of change: self, behaviour, cultures and systems.
Guiding Principles
The SHIFT approach is based on a set of principles that informs the art, science, and craft of leadership. The emerging global leaders we serve-through their and our commitment to the art, science and craft of leadership-will be truly worthy architects of the future. They will join all our stakeholders in the creation of a new tradition and heritage in global leadership which will ultimately serve the transformation of the entire field.
Wisdom - We draw from the perennial wisdom of the ages to help solve and transform the world's toughest challenges. We all have access to a deep source of awareness and clarity that can profoundly inform and inspire our actions. We work with visionaries to ensure that every program, initiative, and experience stewards forth the timeless wisdom which can be found throughout history, in every part of the world, and in all major spiritual traditions.
Service - We serve the world by knowing and serving our deepest purpose. Within every individual there is a call to serve something much greater than oneself. The drive to discover and live this purpose in the world is the foundation to leading oneself and others. SHIFT is committed to helping leaders access their deepest knowledge and purpose so as to help steward humanity through these times.
Co-creation - We harness the global collective wisdom to catalyze large-scale change. At no other time in history has this competency been more needed. When we gather and integrate the truths from all perspectives, we tap into a creative problem-solving potential far beyond that which we can access alone. Through co-creation we are better able to generate breakthroughs to intractable problems.
Craftsmanship - We practice the art and science of consciously refining our selves, our global systems, and our cultures into increasingly healthier expression. These times call for the crafting and implementation of truly elegant responses to our immensely complex challenges.
