Executive Leadership Team

 

Victoria Wilding

As Chief Executive Officer/President, Victoria leads the strategic direction, organizational development, fundraising and partnership development for the SHIFT Foundation. She brings over 25 years experience as a senior executive, working across the corporate, government, and community sectors in Australia and around the world. She has held roles as Regional and National Sales Manager for Hayes, Epson and Memorex and as CEO of The Australian Humanitarian Foundation. She has established a successful boutique management consulting firm, offering leadership training and advisory services to CEOs, Boards of Directors and senior executives of global firms including Shell, Kodak, Telstra and the State and Federal Government. Victoria has built a strong reputation as a natural leader, mentor and facilitator.

Michael Shaw

As Chairman of the Board, Michael provides leadership to the Board of Directors of the SHIFT Foundation. Michael helps guide and mediate Board actions with respect to organizational priorities and corporate governance issues. He monitors financial planning and reporting, and facilitates the Board's role in strategic planning and achievement of the organization's vision and mission. Michael has 16 years board experience both as Chair and board member in over 7 organizations from both the private and not-for-profit sectors.  This included serving from 1999 to 2002 as National President of Relationships Australia Inc., Australia's largest couple counselling and and mediation service with over 90 offices and 800 staff. He is Principal of Bristow Shaw & Company, an investment banking firm established in1990, with particular specialization in Private Equity and Venture Capital funding. Prior to establishing Bristow, Shaw & Company, Michael was an Associate Director in the corporate area of McIntosh Securities Limited, Manager Corporate Banking of Boston Australia Limited, and Bank Representative ( New Zealand ) of The First National Bank of Boston.

Barrett Chapman Brown

Barrett C. Brown has played a key role in developing documentation which effectively communicates the SHIFT Foundation's initiatives and programs to diverse stakeholders. Barrett is a Senior Consultant with Stagen Consulting. He also serves as the Co-Director of Integral University's Integral Sustainability Centre, which applies Integral Theory to sustainable development issues. Since 2005, he has led or consulted to organizations throughout the Americas in the areas of sustainability, human development, and communications. He has completed advanced certification programs in Spiral Dynamics and ZERI (Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives), is on the advisory board of IntegralCity.com, and is the United Nations representative for the journal Kosmos: An Integral Approach to Global Awakening. His Ph.D. studies in Human and Organizational Systems at Fielding Graduate University focus on the customization of sustainability initiatives to the developmental levels of all major stakeholders and systems involved. In addition to consulting and research, Barrett also co-designs and delivers workshops on Integral Theory and Practice for Integral Institute. Barrett has presented and trained widely, including at the United Nations World Summit on Sustainable Development and the School for International Training.

 

Susanne Cook-Greuter

Dr. Susanne Cook-Greuter has played a key role in applying academic rigor and critical guidance to the development of SHIFT's initiatives, programs and publications. Susanne is the principal of Cook-Greuter & Associates and a founding member of Ken Wilber's Integral Institute in Boulder , Colorado . Susanne is a co-director of its Psychology Center and a contributor to the Business Practice Branch. She co-facilitates in the Integral Institute Leadership and Psychotherapy seminars. Susanne's work is heavily referenced by Ken Wilber in many of his works pointing to the sophisticated development of the instrument Susanne created. Susanne coaches and consults to various organizations and projects in research design and the use of developmental frameworks. Susanne has a doctorate from Harvard University and is an internationally known authority on adult development. Susanne worked closely with Robert Kegan, while she developed her own thesis, “Post-autonomous Ego Development”, a landmark study in the characteristics and assessment of highly developed and influential individuals and leaders. She has co-authored two books with Mel Miller titled “Mature Adult Development, Creativity and Spirituality”. The Leadership Development Framework refines and expands Loevinger's Ego Development Theory. It integrates Bill Torbert's model of Personal and Organizational Transformation and Developmental Action Inquiry with Susanne Cook-Greuter's extensive, ongoing research in Mature Adult Development and linguistic assessment of self-awareness and personal mastery.

Belinda D'Souza

Belinda is the financial accountant of the SHIFT Foundation overseeing the preparation of Statutory Accounts in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and liaising with external Auditors as required.  Belinda is a Chartered Accountant. She is the Senior Financial Analyst, Forecasting and Management Reporting, for BHP Billiton, leading the Executive Committee and month end reporting for the group. She has also led the implementation of financial, process and systems related changes throughout the global organization. Belinda brings to the Foundation 14 years of corporate experience, also gained from her role as Audit Manager with KPMG, consultant with the BBC ( London ), and business analyst with Diageo /Guinness UDV ( London ). Belinda has worked and /or traveled in Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America and throughout Australia , having a keen interest in international community, values and culture.

Michael Margolis

As the CEO and founder of THIRSTY-FISH Story Marketing, Michael has worked with SHIFT around the organization's overall brand story development, articulation and positioning. Michael is an experienced social entrepreneur working at the intersections of branding, anthropology, and organizational change. Founding THIRSTY-FISH in 2002, Michael has helped shape the larger story of more than 30 clients including AARP, Ernst & Young LLP, NASA, The Nature Conservancy, and dozens of professional service firms and emerging enterprises. An outspoken proponent of the Talent Economy, Michael's work has been recognized by Fast Company Magazine, Silicon Alley Reporter, Harvard Business School , Department of Commerce, and National Public Radio. Previously, he helped launch two groundbreaking nonprofits in the fields of technology, corporate philanthropy, and workforce development. In 2001, Michael was recognized, by the American Society for Training & Development's T&D Magazine, as one of “Training's New Guard” for the new millennium. He is also a contributing author to the newly released book “Wake me Up When the Date is Over: How Organizations Use Stories to Drive Results”.

Ash Nallawalla

Ash Nallawalla is instrumental in guiding SHIFT into the Web 2.0 world ensuring that our message will successfully reach our target online audience. Currently the CEO of trainSEM.com, Ash has a long history with major global Internet companies including Melbourne IT, Macromedia and Selectica. He has held senior positions with both national and global nonprofit computer user groups where he has been responsible for driving the strategic direction and training and support needs of these major volunteer organizations. Over the past 25 years, Ash has earned considerable recognition in the information technology industry as a reputable commentator on emerging trends. His ideas have been published in newspapers and magazines such as The Age, Australian Financial Review, Computerworld, PC Week and others.

Generon Consulting

Generon represents a new breed of international consulting firm. Cook-Greuter & Associates

 

Cook-Greuter and Associates is led by principal, Dr. Susanne R. Cook-Greuter. The goal of CGA is to bring the benefits of ego-development theory to organizational behavior and leadership. CGA's offices are located in the Boston area. Susanne Cook-Greuter works with other consultancies to create programs that are tailored to organizations' needs and result in optimal client support and offerings. She collaborates with consultants in the USA, Australia, Germany, France and England. CGA has worked with the SHIFT Foundation in the development of the Global Leadership Program and the Annual Young Global Leaders Survey.

Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) is one of the leading international providers of market and attitude research. Established more than 15 years ago, PWC's International Survey Unit (ISU) has provided specialist market research to national and international clients and to the core business of the PWC global network. A core team of 40 research consultants manage specific areas of expertise ranging from statistical analysis, questionnaire design and sampling techniques, to sectoral expertise such as public services and customer satisfaction research. ISU research consultants are supported by an extensive, full-time field force of interviewers and a team of multi-lingual executive researchers. The ISU team has worked with the SHIFT Foundation in the development of the Annual Young Global Leaders Survey.
