Global Leadership Innovation Laboratory

 

The Global Leadership Innovation Laboratory is a convening of high profile stakeholders from around the world committed to accelerating the development of breakthrough systemic solutions to the following innovation challenge:

How could we better train and develop the world’s future leaders?

 

The Global Leadership Innovation Laboratory is a 3 month project customized to bring together 18 of the Foundation’s closest collaborators from government, business and civil society to co-create and co-implement a set of innovative leadership initiatives. Participants will meet every month for one full week (21 days in total). By the end of the Lab process these initiatives will have been prototyped (tested and iterated with Lab team members) and solid piloting plans will have been developed. These breakthrough systemic initiatives will emerge as “living examples” that address the specific learning and development needs of young global leaders.

 

Lab Team members will co-create three sets of results:

 

Initiatives: At least four integral, systemic, scalable and sustainable initiatives that can, by the end of 2012 provide many thousands of young global leaders with a highly accessible and comprehensive resource for their growth and development. In the first instance, the Lab team will work collaboratively to further develop the following initiatives: the World Institute for Leadership Development (WILD); World Change Incubator (WCI); World Venture Fund (WVF); World Endowment for Leadership (WEL).

 

Relationships: High-trust relationships among participating stakeholders and their organizations that will enable them to continue to co-develop and co-implement breakthrough solutions to the Lab theme.

 

Capacities: Strengthened capacity of participating individuals to undertake deep innovation and change both in their own lives and within their organizations.
